Studienkolleg
A Studienkolleg is a mandatory one-year preparatory college for applicants whose school qualification isn't directly recognized as equivalent to the German Abitur. Entry requires passing that Kolleg's Aufnahmeprüfung — Bayern and Hessen each run one centralised, state-wide exam; every other Studienkolleg writes its own.
